Javorca, a site of European memory, remains the bearer of the European Heritage Label.

The European Commission has published a report by the evaluation group of independent experts, which have carried out the evaluation of projects bidding to acquire the European Heritage Label.

The Javorca memorial site meets the conditions for maintaining this prestigious award, which has first been awarded at the end of 2017.

The label was awarded in 2018 on the basis of joint efforts and cooperation between the Municipality of Tolmin, Tolmin Museum and Soča Valley Tourist Board.

The European Heritage Label contributes to greater recognition of the Javorca Church and its importance in promoting the common European values (peace, humanity, solidarity, cultural diversity...).

Tolmin Museum, together with Idrija Municipal Museum, is already planning the autumn exchange of exhibitions of the Memorial Church of Holy Spirit in Javorca and Franja Partisan Hospital, which is also the bearer of the European Heritage Label.
