Visiting exhibition Krapina prehistoric man
of 05.09.2024 to 29.11.2024
City: Tolmin, Tolmin Museum
On September 5, 2024, at 19:00, the Tolmin Museum invites you to the opening of the guest exhibition of the Croatian Museum of Krapina Neanderthals 'KRAPINSKI PRAČLOVEK'.
The museum and the exhibition are connected on a symbolic level by the two bearers of the European Heritage Label (ZED), the Memorial Church of the Holy Spirit in Javorca in the area of the Municipality of Tolmin and the Neanderthal site of Krapina in Croatia. The author of the Krapina prehistoric man exhibition is Jurica Sabol, director of the Museums of Croatian Zagorje, which promises an unforgettable experience, as you will be able to see the life and culture of Neanderthals and the fossil remains of extinct animals, among other things.
A Neanderthal flute was found near us, below the village of Šebrelje above the river Idrijca. Boštjan Gombač will play the reconstruction of this unique musical instrument on the opening day.
The exhibition will be on view in the Tolmin Museum until November 29, 2024.
