Within the framework of the official two-day visit to the Republic of Slovenia, the President of Hungary, Mr. János Áder, on Saturday also visited the Soča region where the delegation arrived by car-train. First, the President laid a wreath to the monument on the Austro-Hungarian cemetery at Loče in the vicinity of Tolmin and then visited the Church of the Holy Spirit in Javorca where he was greeted by the Mayor of the Municipality of Tolmin, Mr. Uroš Brežan, and the Director of the Tolmin Museum, Mrs. Damjana Fortunat Černilogar M.Sc., who gave the esteemed guest a tour of the memorial church that received the prestigious European Heritage Label and explained him the story and the message of the church. In the light of this event, the Mayor of the Municipality of Tolmin, Mr. Brežan, presented President Áder with a small plate with the distinctive motif from the interior of the Secession church and a silver coin issued by the Republic of Slovenia on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the great Tolmin Peasant Uprising.

The President of Hungary continued his visit in Kobarid where he joined his host, the President of the Republic of Slovenia, Mr. Borut Pahor, and attended the traditional Kobarid Museum Day ceremony.
